The Christmas Spirit
The other day I was driving to Firth to work and it was soooooo beautiful with the sunlight sparkling off of the snow. It was awesome. I felt so grateful to be in a such a beautiful place and have the many wonderful opportunities I have. I have felt the Christmas Spirit so strong the last week. It is all a matter of attitude that's for sure. (It also helps that the basement is dry and put back together) :)

Merry Christmas!
I am trying to get into the holiday mode but there are a lot of things that seem to be dragging me down the last few days. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with all the family. It was great to see all the brothers and sisters after 20+ years. We have to make hard decisions about my mom, however and that puts a damper on things. Speaking of damper.....we had a terrible flod in our basement January 19th, the day before we left for Cancun. On November 23rd, the day we were leaving for Sparks, the basement flooded again. The beautiful new basement....waaaa. So, I am a little scrooogie. I will get out of it quickly though.

Fat Penny and work rant
Well, Penny Jo had to go to the vet and our vet is very nice. She mentioned that she thought that Penny had not missed very many meals at our house. In other words, the Chub is a chub. So, poor Penny is on a diet. She is kind of grumpy and I can relate.... her mom needs to go on a diet also but I just don't have the energy to do it.
Had a wonderful week last week, not. I love my job but sometimes it is difficult to handle everything and get no positive feedback. It's kind of like being a mom. You work so hard and nobody really gives a crap. Well that is my rant....I am doing much better this week. Had a really busy day today. We saw 26 today and that is really workin'. All night finishing notes.

Happy Halloween
Well of course the Primary Program was just perfect because the kids did a great job and there was really someone else in charge.... sometimes I forget that He is in charge. It has been the craziest week at the clinic, everybody and their dog is sick.... boo.
Halloween has never been my favorite holiday but I think if Arley were closer, I would enjoy it a lot more. Most holidays are for kids anyways. Arley is dressing up as a soccer player this year and he looks pretty darn cute. Well off I go to save lives and all that crap.... ha ha.

Primary Program Bllues
I had a call today from Kaz that she has a migraine due to her Primary Program practice (PPP) we also had our PPP today but it wasn't migraine worthy. However, it is stressful and I don't think that is what it is all about. I tried to relax today and tell myself that it was all going to happen no matter what I did and that it would be perfect. Sometimes, I think that I have to worry to make something good happen and that really is not true. I do have to put forth effort and work but if I do that then things usually work out just fine. I really should have more faith I think.

Musings of a fool
I like golf (which I never get to do anymore), guitar pickin' and writing songs. John Denver, James Taylor, Carly Simon and Carole King which definitely dates me.... yes I am getting old. I also like new music :). I love my Grandboy Arley. I also love Matt and Kersten my wonderful family. I like small towns, church choirs, picnics, pot lucks, fall leaves, football, and lots of snow with big drifts that snow us in so we have to stay inside and do jigsaw puzzles. I love family parties and laughing with my crazy Miller nephews. I like concerts with my siblings and really gettin' down to it on the guitar. I like Fried Ham and Girl's Camp. I like feeling the Spirit and the calm that comes from knowing that you're in the right place at the right time. I had this happen once when I was YW president. We took the girls up cross country skiing at Harriman park. We were all in a line and we came around a corner and saw a big Trumpeter Swan and the river which was beautiful. I looked back at all those girls that I loved so much and I thought " This is it. This is where you're supposed to be today". It was a great feeling. I must be feeling a little nostalgic today. One of those girls lost her little 13 year old girl last night and it is a sad and awful tragedy. It makes me feel old and sad. I lost a patient this week that I was particularly close to and so I write and write.... My only hope is one of my favorite things, BYU football, that the Cougars play TCU tonight and I am hoping for a win.

Sad about Wayne
It's funny but I have listened to KLCE for 22 years or however long it has been on.... I have enjoyed Wayne Richards and always felt like he was a friend even though I had never met him in person. I will miss his banter with Liza in the mornings and thoughts and prayers to his family.

I am really crappy at blog stuff but I am learning because I love to read my little family's blog and catch up on my Grandboy Arley Miles Searle, the great. I am pretty enamored with the little guy. We are in the middle of Spud Harvest and Spud Day is Saturday so it is pretty busy around here. Allen works from sunup to past sundown. Penny the penster and I are pretty bored it's true. I am going to have to figure out how to put pictures on here.
